Journal of Early Childhood Association of Nigeria (JECAN) provides a forum for researchers, professionals and practitioners, such as classroom teachers, child care providers, and teacher educators to publish research articles, reports field studies and best practices related to the education and development of young children. JECAN is also interested in professionals in psychology, health care and social services dedicated to the care of young children. The journal publishes peer-reviewed articles covering curriculum, language and literacy, indigenous practices, advocacy, parenting, staff development, family-school relationships, health and nutrition, special needs, leadership and more. JECAN aims to promote scientific dialogue, deliver information, and contribute to developing the field of early childhood education. It equally aims to enhance the awareness and accessibility of early childhood education research. The editors encourage submission of a variety of high-quality manuscripts. JECAN is an open access journal; as such, all its content is available for the user or their background organization freely and without cost.
